A self initiated illustration project, “What I Wore: December 2012”, chronicles my daily outfits for the month of November and December.
Reaching back to my fashion blogging roots, I decided to challenge my dedication to illustration and fashion by creating quick 5 minute sketches of what I wore everyday for the course of a year. Each month I experimented using different media and styles. What started off as a fun routine has now become my own illustrated self-history of who I used to be, who I am now, and who I’ve yet to become.
For this month I decided to experiment with color pencils (a medium I rarely use) and outlines created from markers. I wanted to go back to the days of coloring books where colors were placed on top of existing. I drew the clothing as if the medium were being worn by the body of the markers.
